How It Works
This feeder operates using a simple vacuum system.
Once filled and inverted, nectar fills the glass tube and creates a natural vacuum inside the ceramic reservoir. Nectar is released only when hummingbirds drink from the flower port.
If you notice dripping after hanging:
• Ensure the cork is firmly seated
• Slightly adjust or reseat the tube and flower port
• Confirm all components are snug and airtight
A properly sealed feeder will stop dripping after the initial fill of the tube.

Nectar Recipe (No Dye Needed)
Hummingbirds do not need red dye — the flower provides the visual cue.
Simple Nectar Recipe:
• 1 part white granulated sugar
• 4 parts water
Bring water to a boil, stir in sugar until dissolved, then cool completely before filling feeder.
Extra nectar can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
In warm weather, refresh nectar every 2–3 days. In cooler weather, every 4–5 days.

Why Ceramic?
Unlike mass-produced plastic feeders, glazed stoneware:
• Won’t cloud or degrade in sun
• Maintains stable temperature
• Ages beautifully over time
• Feels substantial and enduring
This is a feeder designed to be used, enjoyed, and passed down — not replaced every season.
